Researchers from the University of Wollongong , Deakin University , Monash University and Kyushu University have developed a framework to build an intelligent, AI-powered agile project management assistant.
They say AI tools could soon revolutionize project management, improving productivity through the automation of repetitive , high-volume tasks .
AI to predict risks and provide actionable recommendations
AI tools could provide analytics- based forecasts and risk estimates , perform basic administrative tasks , and give actionable recommendations . The researchers proposed a new framework for the use of AI technologies, including deep learning, reinforcement learning, natural language processing, evolutionary search and intelligent agents, in the context of management of agile project.
An agile project assistant powered by AI
The researchers imagined an agile project assistant powered by AI, capable of interacting with users and helping them in their work. This AI system would include an analytics engine , a planning engine , an optimization engine , and a conversational dialogue engine . This is a game changer for all current roles identified in Agile such as the Scrum master and the Agile coach.
A fully refined and predictable backlog thanks to AI
We can certainly expect to see a fully refined and predictable backlog emerge thanks to AI when the Agile Project Assistant leads the ceremonies and artifacts, thus making roles like Scrum Master or Agile Coach obsolete!
